Last week I did my 2012 Running Year In Review. As tomorrow rolls into a new year, I decided I would chisel down some running goals / plan for 2013. So I am going to put down 5 ideas I would like to accomplish in the new year.
1) Finish the Walt Disney World Goofy Challenge
On January 12-13, 2013, I will be competing in the Walt Disney World Goofy Challenge, which will be to run the half marathon on Saturday and the full marathon on Sunday for a total of 39.3 miles in 24 hours.
2) Qualify for Half Fanatics
Well this will be accomplished on the first part of #1 above. I will qualify by running 3 half marathons in 90 days. I have already completed the 2012 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon in November & the 2012 Kiawah Island Half Marathon in December.

3) Run 5+ Half Marathons
The plan so far is to run the following half marathons:
a) Walt Disney World Half Marathon – Janauary
b) North Carolina Half Marathon – March
c) Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon – October
d) Space Coast Half Marathon – December
e) Kiawah Island Half Marathon – December
4) Mileage Goal = 1000 Miles
In 2013 I am setting a goal for 1000 miles. In 2012 I got 715 miles, and 2011 was 667. With the extra spring half marathons, I will need to get some training miles in starting in February, so hopefully this will help toward this goal.
5) Encourage five friends/family to take up running
