This week I registered for another half marathon later this year. I registered for the Space Coast Half Marathon in Cocoa Beach, FL on December 1st. I am so excited about this race, because many of my fellow ROTErs are running it. I am also excited about it is because of the commemorative Space Shuttle medal in memory of the Columbia Space Shuttle.
Next week is half marathon week. I will be running the Palmetto Bluff Half Marathon on Sunday, March 10th.
Now on to the weekly workout recap for Week 09.
Monday (2/25) – No Workout
I did not workout today, it was raining too much to walk to the gym, and I did not feel much like doing anything when I got home.
Tuesday (2/26) – Ran 4 Miles on the treadmill
Well it is day two of raining. I could not walk to the gym at lunch once again, so I was relegated to the treadmill at the house tonight for 4 miles. I wanted to do some speed work to try and get my half pace down to around 8:18 to break the 1 hour 50 minute barrier. I did an 8:34 pace tonight with little stress.
Wednesday (2/27) – 40 Minute Elliptical Workout
Thursday (2/28) – Ran 5 Miles on the treadmill
I did an 8:33 pace tonight with little stress.
Friday (3/1) – Rest
Saturday (3/2) – Ran 7 Mile
Today I got to run with my running partner Maribel. We haven’t run together in over 6 months, as she has had to reduce her running. We finally got to meet up an do 7 miles together. It was 36 degrees.
