After training super hard for the Race for Taylor 10K, I took a few days to run easy before I dive into summer running and training for the heat. Here in Charleston, it gets super hot, humid, and muggy, and living in Surburbia by the Swamp (Rural West Ashley) doesn’t make running any easier. You definitely have to run slower and hydrate, but it builds your lungs for fast times for Fall races.
Speaking of Fall races, I’ve been busy looking at different options for the fall, including marathons, half marathons, 10Ks, and a popular alternative to road races… obstacle races.
