We now have a new rescued dog we are fostering. Her name is Emma. She is a playful, energetic 7 month old German Shepherd/Boxer pup. She is very sweet and affectionate. She seems to love the water, as she plays in the kiddie pool all the time. She is confident, not fearful at all. She still has some growing to do.
She is great with other dogs. She has not been around kids or cats yet. She does well in the crate at night. Not quite house broken yet, but working on it. She already knows how to sit, and seems eager to learn, but will need some basic training.
She is crate trained, knows her name, is learning basic commands, and just so loveable. She is up to date on all vet visits & shots. She has also already been spayed. We are seeking a $125 adoption fee to offset the vet visits. Please email email@example.com or call Tara at (843) 270-2348 for more info.

I typically organize a run every Saturday morning at various locations in the tri-county area, but it has been limited to a few people via a quick email. I thought I would start making a invitation post each week with the details, so if you would like to join, just comment on the blog post. Sometimes we will run as our small group, other times we may join other running groups I am friends with.
Here are the details for this week’s run:
Location: MUSC Wellness Center (45 Courtenay Drive Charleston, SC 29425)
Date & Time: Saturday, June 15th – 6 AM
Max Distance: 8 Miles
Details: We are going to do a slow 8 mile run while doing the Jeff Galloway 4:1 interval approach, where we will run for 4 minutes and walk for a minute. I may have someone joining us that is just starting to run, so we will have runners of all skill level. Get up an come join us. We can accommodate any mileage needs.

I often have new and seasoned runners who do not know or understand the running lingo. The Pavement Princess nailed it with this article, A Dictionary of Beginning Runners.
