Welcome to 2014. This is Week 1 of training for the new year. Here is what I accomplished this week in training. I have the Walt Disney World Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge coming up next weekend, so this was a easy taper week for me.
Monday (12/30): This was my last run for 2013, and was a 4 mile run to accomplish my 2013 goal of 1000 miles for the year!
Tuesday (12/31): No workout
Wednesday (1/1): Happy New Year – 4 Mile Run
Thursday (1/2): No Workout
Friday (1/3): No Workout
Saturday (1/4): I ran 8 miles in Mount Pleasant with my running group. This was our coldest run yet, at 34 degrees (26 degrees with the wind chill of 10 mph). Looking forward to running in the 60s next weekend in Florida. Afterward, we celebrated all our training by going out to breakfast together.
2014 Yearly Running Goal: 900 Miles
Weekly Mileage: 16.05 Miles (4.02 was for 2013)
Remaining to Goal: 887.97 Miles
