This was a good workout week. I got in a workout on 5 different days. Next week I will back it down a little for the half marathon I have next weekend.
Monday (2/3): Ran 4 miles on the treadmill at the gym
Tuesday (2/4): Strength training workout at the gym
Wednesday (2/5): Back to running with my MUSC running group. We did 4 miles in downtown Charleston.
Friday (2/7): Strength training workout at the gym
Saturday (2/8): On Saturday I ran 10 miles on the treadmill at home. It was scheduled to rain most of the day here, so I cancelled our running group. Since I have an iFit Treadmill powered by Google Maps, I plotted out the first 10 miles of the Merces Benz Half Marathon next week, and ran the course on the treadmill. I adjusted the elevation changes, and I was able to see the course scenery on the laptop via Google Maps! It didn’t hurt that I was able to watch the Winter Olympics on the tv while I ran. I was able to maintain a 9:30 pace, which is plenty good on the treadmill for my goal for next weekend.
Next weekend is my next half marathon, the Mercedes Benz Half Marathon in Birmingham, AL. State #5!
