Monday (1/12): I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym at lunch. The settings were 7.0 mph at 1% incline which equated to a 8:49 pace.
Tuesday (1/13): No workout. I had to travel for work all day today so did not have time to get in a workout.
Wednesday (1/14): I ran 4.1 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 a.m.
Thursday (1/15): I ran hill repeats at the house on the treadmill. I started with a 10 minute warmup at a 10 minute pace. I then began the hill repeats, starting at a 2% incline for 2 minutes, 4% incline for 2 minutes, 8% incline for 2 minutes, & 2% incline for 2 minutes. I then repeats this 3 times and averaged a 8:45-9:00 pace. It ended with a 10 minute cool down in the 11:00-12:00 pace range. Total mileage was 4.5 miles.
Friday (1/16): No workout
Saturday (1/17): Today I ran with Dan, Luke, & Corel. It was a bit chilly at 36 degrees with a 8-10 mph wind. We ran 10 miles, starting out in Mt. Pleasant, and running over to Sullivan’s Island, and on to Isle of Palms and back. We had to go over to the islands because of the Charleston Marathon & Half Marathon this morning. Several of our running partners ran the race, so congrats to them! I know they did well! They got far better weather today than in 2014, so that was a plus!
Look at these amazing views from Isle of Palms Breach Inlet this morning. The sun coming up over the Atlantic Ocean! There were also dolphin everywhere! What a beautiful morning!
