This week I did not blog much as I just needed a break. I have a lot of irons in the fire right now, so I decided on a little online break. I still got in all my runs this week, and continued my plan to run at least 20 miles per week. I also did not lose much weight this week, only .3 pounds. Time to step up my efforts to go to the next level and get past this next hurdle.
Monday (1/19): I ran 5 miles on the Summerville Saw Mill Branch Trail. It was a holiday, so I was able to get out on the trail. It was an awesome run at 57 degrees! Shorts and short sleeved shirt! I averaged an 8:19 pace.
Tuesday (1/20): I did one hour of yoga at the gym during lunch.
Wednesday (1/21): I ran 4 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 a.m.
Friday (1/23): I ran speed intervals at the gym at the MUSC Wellness Center. I ran 10 x 400m in the 7:11 – 7:32 pace range. After each interval I did a walk/jog for 200m and then repeated the process. I started the run with 2 miles at a jog to warm up.
Saturday (1/24): I had planned to run this morning with a couple of running buddies, even though it was a downpour. However, when we were evaluating, we were seeing lightening in the area and cancelled. I was actually looking forward to a refreshing run in the rain. Ha Ha Ha. However, I did get a 6 mile run in on the treadmill at the house. I averaged a 8:53 pace on the run.
