It is race week! This weekend is the Save the Light Half Marathon on Folly Beach, SC.
Monday (2/2): I did a 4 mile treadmill jog at the gym at lunch. I ran at 6.1 mph at 1% incline. This equated to a 9:57 pace.
Tuesday (2/3): I did an hour yoga class at the gym at lunch.
Wednesday (2/4): I ran 4 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 a.m., we averaged an 8:34 pace.
Thursday (2/5): No workout
Friday (2/6): No workout
Saturday (2/7): Today, I ran the Save the Light Half Marathon. This was my 18th half marathon. I knocked it out the park with a 1:47:45 (8:15 pace). It was a beautiful morning with great friends. I will elaborate more on the race early next week when I do the race recap. Starting temperature was 39 degrees and finished at 50 degrees. The weight loss and extra training appears to be working, as this was over 10 minutes faster than my last half marathon in November.

I had a nice rebound week on the weight loss. I lost 1.8 pounds this week, while still carb loading for the race toward the end of the week. Just missed 10 pounds lost by a couple of ounces! Maybe next week I can break that barrier!
