Monday (3/9): I did a 5 mile treadmill run at the gym at lunch. I ran at 7.3 mph at 1% incline. This equated to a 8:17 pace.
Tuesday (3/10): No workout
Wednesday (3/11): I ran 4 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 AM at a 9:00 pace.
Thursday (3/12): I started DailyBurn online. The workout plan they chose for me was Live to Fail (LTF). It is a workout where you do reps to failure. My first workout was arms, called LTF ArmForge 1. It was 5 exercises, 4 sets, 10-12 reps in 37 minutes. Man you can feel the burn with light weight and high reps!
Friday (3/13): I did speed intervals at the gym on the indoor track. I changed to 800 meter intervals and did 5×800, with a 200m recovery in between. I started with a 1.5 mile warmup. The 1.5 mile warm up was at a 9:48 pace, the 800m’s ranged from 7:37 to 7:59 pace. Later in the evening, I did my DailyBurn workout, LTF LB Metcon 7 (Build up your aerobic capacity with this short 18 minute lower body Metcon workout.) This was just 3 plyometric exercises done twice.
Saturday (3/14): Today Dan, Luke, & I ran 9 miles in Mt. Pleasant. When I left the house for my 30 minute drive, it was pouring rain. I prayed the entire drive for the Lord to move the rain, and guess what! He Did! We had a beautiful run at 66 degrees! We started at the Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park, ran the Shem Creek Boardwalk, and then out to the Pitt Street Bridge Pier and back to finish on the finishing pier at the Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park. Great run today!

Weight Loss Notes: I was up a pound from last week, but I figured I would have this since I was sick all last week, and some of that was from not eating during my cold! However, this week my wife and I signed up for Daily Burn online. It is a custom workout based on your goals that you can do at home. For mine, it selected Live to Fail (LTF) all I need is a chair, and 2 sets of dumbbells. I started it Thursday night, and boy did I feel it Friday! There is a free 30 day trial then it is just $10 a month. The courses we are doing are 90 days.
2015 Yearly Running Goal: 900 Miles
Weekly Mileage: 22.63 Miles
Remaining to Goal: 680.24 Miles
I was gonna ask you how those arms are doing! Between the cold you have had and then the new training, I am surprised you aren’t totally wiped out.
