This week starts my first of three back to back training weekends for my back to back half marathons in May. On Saturday, May 2nd I will be running the OneAmerica Indy 500 Mini Marathon followed by the Cincinnati Flying Pig Half Marathon on Sunday, May 3rd.
On our Saturday run, we saw these signs all over the place. We thought everyone was being warned that we were running, later we realized they were for the Palmetto 200 that is going on Friday & Saturday.
Monday (3/16): We took a co-worker out to lunch for his birthday, so I moved my run until Tuesday. I still did my DailyBurn workout at home, which was LTF UB Metcom 7. An intense 18 minute fast paced upper body workout.
Tuesday (3/17): I did a 5 mile treadmill run at the gym at lunch. I ran at 7.3 mph at 1% incline. This equated to a 8:24 pace.
Wednesday (3/18): I ran 4.3 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 AM at a 8:48 pace.
Thursday (3/19): No Workout
Friday (3/20): No Workout
Saturday (3/21): On Saturday Dan, Luke, & I met in Mount Pleasant and ran 10 miles to and around Sullivan’s Island. It was a beautiful morning for a run. This was my first of two back to back days doing 10 miles. We averaged a 9:33 pace on our run at 57 degrees.
Sunday (3/22): On Sunday Luke and I were back at it for 10 more miles. We ran on the Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge from Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park to The Battery in Charleston. We averaged a 9:25 pace at 61 degrees. The more started rough. When I left the house it was pouring rain. I prayed the entire drive downtown for the Lord to remove the rain. Well Prayer Works! When we pulled in the parking lot the rain disappeared! When we got in the trucks to leave, the rain started again! Here is your example of being specific in your prayers!
