Monday (7/6): I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym at lunch. I averaged a 9:04 pace.
Tuesday (7/7): No workout
Wednesday (7/8): I ran 4.3 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 a.m. at a 9:27 pace. We did 30 second walk breaks on the miles to reboot.
Thursday (7/9): No workout
Friday (7/10): I did 5 miles worth of speed intervals on the indoor track at the MUSC Wellness Center. I ran a 2 mile warmup, then did 8×400 intervals. The pace range was 7:10 to 7:38 on the 400m’s.
Saturday (7/11): We started out on a plan to run 11 miles. However, it was just too hot and muggy that we shut it down after 8 miles. We started out at Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park, ran to the Shem Creek Boardwalk Pier, then on to the Pitt Street Bridge Pier and returned. We averaged a 10:11 overall pace with walk breaks on the mile. Luke, Dan, & Dave joined me on the run, and other than the heat, it was a good run for us.
