Man am I ready for some cooler weather and some races. It has been hard to be motivated to get my training in with this heat, but I have pressed on. Hopefully it will help come race season! Thankfully I have awesome running partners that keep me motivated!
Monday (8/12): I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym at lunch. I averaged a 9:07 pace.
Tuesday (8/11): No workout
Wednesday (8/12): I ran 4 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 a.m. at a 9:30 pace. We did 30 second walk breaks on the miles to reboot.
Thursday (8/13): No workout
Friday (8/14): No workout
Saturday (8/15): We did an 9 mile run in Mt. Pleasant. We caught a break in the weather today. It was only about 72 degrees but still 100% humidity. We ended up a 9:58 pace.

How’d you manage to run 9 miles from Mt. Pleasant but run to the Citadel?
The humidity wasn’t quite as high today… I started at 7:30… it was 75 degrees, 89% humidity… it’s sad when 89% humidity feels cooler. Only a few more hot Saturday runs left, should start cooling down soon!
I’m running the 5K in Summerville next Saturday. I’ve heard it’s a great event and proceeds benefit Alzheimer Research.
Whoops. Typo. Copy and paste without the cut! 😄. You are right on with the humidity! Amen to only a few more weeks! Football season means cooler runs! Good luck on your 5k!!!!
The SHS football team was practicing the other night when we were at the track. That made it feel slightly cooler, ha!
