This week was my second of three back to back weekend training for my back to back half marathons coming up in October. In October, I will running the Baltimore, MD Half Marathon (Saturday) and Hershey, PA Half Marathon (Sunday).
Monday (9/7): Happy Labor Day. Since I was home, I decided to run a little with my 2 German Shepherds. It was a great time with them. We averaged a 9:30 pace for 2.6 miles. We ran about mid-day, so it was about 81 degrees and 79% humidity.
Tuesday (9/8): No workout
Wednesday (9/9): I did not sleep well on Tuesday night, so I missed our weekly Wednesday morning run this week.
Thursday (9/10): No workout
Friday (9/11): No workout
Saturday (9/12): We ran Charleston & the Arthur Ravenel Bridge on Saturday. We started at the MUSC Wellness Center and ran to and over the bridge into Mt. Pleasant and back. Dan & Rachel joined me for a total of 11 miles. We ran at a 10:03 pace with a temp of 77 degrees and 89% humidity.
Sunday (9/13): We ran the Summerville SawMill Branch Trail on Sunday. Dan, Luke, & Renee joined me for a total of 11 miles. We ran at a 9:45 pace with an awesome temp of 64 degrees and 100% humidity. Our first morning sub-70 degrees!
