Well, after taking a week off after the back to back half marathons because of soreness, I got back to it somewhat this week. Somehow I messed up my back and didn’t get in all my runs, but finished up the week on a good mark, with a great group run. Well, I have 2 more half marathons in November, the 2nd Annual Summerville Sweet Tea Half Marathon on November 14th and the Space Coast Half Marathon at Cocoa Beach, Florida on November 29th.
Monday (10/26): I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the Wellness Center. Pace average: 9:05
Tuesday (10/27): No workout
Wednesday (10/28): No workout
Thursday (10/29): No workout
Friday (10/30): No workout
Saturday (10/31): The group ran 8 miles in downtown Charleston. I was joined by Dan, Renee, Dave, & John. It was so good to be with these guys again, as it has been a few weeks. It is just so motivating to run with friends. It was a nice cool morning at 59 degrees.
As a part of the run, we went down to Waterfront Park, and saw a strange sight, the Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas ship. We typically only have the Carnival ship in our port, so it was nice to see a much better ship in our great port.
