After the Space Coast Half Marathon, I was a little tired and burnt out, so I took a week off. Part of that was at Walt Disney World, so I did get my exercise. Well, I have faced the fact that I am not going to make my 1100 mile goal, which is alright. I should still make 1000+ miles which would still be my busiest year since starting to run in 2010.
So here is what I tackled this week.
Monday (12/7): I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the Wellness Center. Pace average: 9:00
Tuesday (12/8): No workout
Wednesday (12/9): I ran with my morning MUSC run group at 5:30a. We ran 4.5 miles around downtown Charleston at a 8:50 pace.
Thursday (12/10): No workout
Friday (12/11): I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the Wellness Center. Pace average: 9:16
Saturday (12/12): On Saturday many in our group were running the Kiawah Island Half Marathon, so our group was small. I met E-Mack & Weston downtown to run 8 miles. I have to admit I was proud of myself as I plotted out an awesome course. There was lots of Christmas decorations to see and it was excited. Then it hit us, the Reindeer Run 5k was downtown today! Whoops! We made a few deviations and had a great run. According to Garmin it was a slow run at a 10:27 pace, but it felt faster, but it was enjoyable.
Here we are near the Pineapple Fountain.
