Well it was a really cold week in Charleston. Because of this, I was sick with a cold most of the week. I missed my long run this week, but did get some work in on Saturday. As of the end of this training week, I will be five weeks out from the New Orleans Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon.
Monday (1/18): No workout
Tuesday (1/19): I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the Wellness Center. Pace average: 8:55
Wednesday (1/20): I ran 4.25 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 am. It was cold! My Garmin said it was 30 degrees; however, the local weather stated that it was 24 degrees. We averaged a 9:17 pace.
Thursday (1/21): No workout
Friday (1/22): No workout
Saturday (1/23): Because I was sick we did not do a long run today, so I walked 6 miles on the treadmill at the house while we got a small snow dusting outside. Glad we decided not to run today.
But I had great support on the treadmill from Jack who is on the bar stool, and Olaf looking out the window at the snow.
2016 Yearly Running Goal: 1000 Miles
Weekly Mileage: 18.10 Miles
Remaining to Goal: 939.83 Miles

Cold??? Come on now!
For Charleston, Yes! Not that weird junk y’all have up there. That’s why we live in the south, right? 🙂
It’s horrific up here, man! Did you see the pics on my FB page? I had to rescue the kids from the yard. They couldn’t move their legs it’s so deep.
It’s nasty out. I took a recovery week too. Looks like you guys got a lot more snow than we did.
Blizzard! 🙂
Well… you live in Summerville… there’s a Dairy Queen there… if you want a blizzard ;). But I always thought you were more of a cupcake guy.
