Well, I just finished the New Orleans Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon about three hours ago, and I have to say I was thrilled with my efforts. I ran it in 1:53:27. I have updated my 50 By 50 Challenge Page and uploaded the medal to the Louisiana page, so go have a look. I will do the race review later next week, so stay tuned.
As for my week, here is how it went:
Monday (2/22): On Monday, I did my normal 5 mile run on the treadmill at the MUSC Wellness Center at lunch. I ran at an 8:51 pace.
Tuesday (2/23): No workout
Wednesday (2/24): On Wednesday, I ran 4 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 am. We averaged a 9:14 pace. It was 66 degrees on a February morning in Charleston and I loved it!
Thursday (2/25): No workout
Friday (2/26): No workout
Saturday (2/27): No workout
Sunday (2/28): On Sunday, I ran the New Orleans Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in 1:53:27 (8:40 pace). It was a great day and a great race. I got to run the race with our awesome friends Matthew & Kira Champagne. I will post the race recap later in the week.
