This was recovery week, after running the New Orleans Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon last Sunday. Next up on the race schedule is the Inaugural Star Wars – The Dark Side Half Marathon at Walt Disney World on the weekend of April 14-17, 2016.
As for my week, here is how it went:
Monday (2/29): Race recovery day. We spent the day with our friends continuing to site see in New Orleans. Later in the day, we drove halfway home to Auburn, AL.
Tuesday (3/1): No workout, drove back home from New Orleans, LA
Wednesday (3/2): On Wednesday, I ran 4.5 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 am. We averaged a 9:07 pace. It was 64 degrees but started raining on us, but it was still nice for early March!
Friday (3/4): No workout
Saturday (3/5): On Saturday, I ran the West Ashley Greenway with Dan, Mike, & Luke. We ran 8 miles at a 9:36 pace. It was a bit chilly at 41 degrees, but hopefully this will be the last cold run of our winter! I was feeling a little dead leg today, I guess it is just still lag from all the traveling last week.
2016 Yearly Running Goal: 1000 Miles
Weekly Mileage: 12.52 Miles
Remaining to Goal: 822.04 Miles
