21 days until the Inaugural RunDisney Star Wars – The Dark Side Half Marathon.
Monday (3/21): I ran on the treadmill at the MUSC Wellness Center at lunch. I ran 5 miles at an 9:04 pace.
Tuesday (3/22): I did a hill training workout on the treadmill at the Wellness Center. It was 3 miles and ranged from -3.0% decline up to 12.5% incline. Pace: 9:14
Wednesday (3/23): On Wednesday, I ran 4 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 am. We ran 4.3 miles at a 9:00 pace.
Thursday (3/24): No workout
Friday (3/25): No workout
Saturday (3/26): On Saturday, Luke and I met up at the MUSC Wellness Center and ran 10 miles around downtown Charleston. We averaged a 9:35 pace with a minute walk break on the mile markers. You can tell the Cooper River Bridge Run is here in Charleston this week, as there were runners all over the place. It was 64 degrees with 100% humidity. For the Star Wars Half Marathon next month at Walt Disney World, I have finally decided to run in costume, so I wore my outfit to try it out. I think it will work well, but you will have to wait to see it. 🙂
We got to see the Carnival Ecstasy in port.
We finished up our run at the Joe Riely, Jr. Ballpark, home of the Charleston Riverdogs. This was just a good reminder that we are only one week away from the baseball season starting!!!
Have a great week everyone. Make every mile count.

Looks like you had a great week of training- good job on the hill workout too. I ran Friday morning and the bridge was packed. I’ll be glad when that race is over and it’s back to normal :).
I was so impressed with your 50 mile week! Wow!
Thanks. I’ve done it a time or two, it was really the online challenge that got me to bite the bullet and pull it off. My hamstrings are a little sore today, but otherwise I feel good (I think some foam rolling will resolve the hamstring soreness).
