It’s Race Week for the Inaugural RunDisney Star Wars – The Dark Side Half Marathon.
Monday (4/11): Today I tried something new. I decided to go to one of our local running stores, Fleet Feet Summerville and do their Monday Night Group Run. They normally do a 3 & 5 mile group run, but tonight they were promoting Nathan Running Products, so we just did 3 miles. After the run, we had a Water Relay in which the team I participated on won, so I got a $20 store gift certificate. I also one one of the raffle prizes, a dual bottle running belt. It was a great night. Meet some new runners, one of which ran in the Star Wars Half with me on Sunday. I plan to make this a normal Monday night event. I pulled a few pictures from the store’s site to share. Come join them each Monday at 6:30 PM. The people I ran with averaged an 8:20 pace.
Tuesday (4/12): No workout
Wednesday (4/13): On Wednesday, I ran 4.25 miles with my MUSC running group at 5:30 am. Pace: 9:27/mile
Thursday (4/14): No workout
Friday (4/15): No workout – Walked around Disney World
Saturday (4/16): No workout – Walked around Disney World
Sunday (4/17): Star Wars Half Marathon – 2:02:45 – Race recap will come later this week
