It was race week. For the weekend I was in Minneapolis, MN for a work conference, so I found a half marathon close so I can cross off Minnesota on my 50 By 50 Challenge. It is the Carpenter Nature Center Apple Blossom Half Marathon. I will do a race recap later in the week.
Monday (5/9): On Monday evening I participated in the Fleet Feet Summerville Monday Runday. It was warm, so we cut our 5 miler down to a 3 miler. We maintained an 8:38 pace in 86 degree temps. We had about 30 runners come out.
Tuesday (5/10): No workout
Wednesday (5/11): I ran 4 miles with my Wednesday morning 5:30 AM MUSC Running Group. We averaged a 9:27 pace.
Friday (5/13): No workout
Saturday (5/14): No workout, traveled to Minnesota
Sunday (5/15): Carpenter’s Nature Center Apple Blossom Half Marathon, Hastings, Minnesota – 1:56:59 – Race Recap will come later this week. Two words…. Headwinds and Hilly!

Can’t wait to read about your half; you had a really good time considering the headwinds and hills and also having to travel up there which is kinda stressful.
Yep the hills were like step inclines and there were hardly any declines to recover.
