Recovery Week. The Carpenter Nature Center Apple Blossom Half Marathon in Hasting, MN took a lot out of me. So with the conference and traveling I used this week for some running downtime and recovery.
Monday (5/16): No workout, conference in Minneapolis, MN
Tuesday (5/17): No workout, conference in Minneapolis, MN
Wednesday (5/18): No workout, spent all day traveling home… thanks for all the troubles Delta!
Thursday (5/19): No workout
Friday (5/20): No workout
Saturday (5/21): I got back to the streets today with Emack and Weston. We met at the MUSC Wellness Center and ran 8 miles around downtown. It was supposed to rain a lot, but it held off for our run. It was warm and humid, welcome to running in Charleston in the Summer. It was 72 degrees and 100% humidity.

Finally down is the old Charleston Memorial Hospital. This is to make room for the new Shawn Jenkins MUSC Children’s Hospital to open in 2019.

It was a struggle this morning in the humidity. First really humid run I’ve done and I felt it. You def. needed the off time with the race and the conference following it but glad you could get out there today!
