Wow has it already got warm here in Charleston. This has caused the pacing to drop; however, as learned in years past, this is just what happens. I know it doesn’t effect race pacing for the Fall races, so I am in the log miles mode now and just get it done. I am continuing my goal for June to get in at least a mile of running, walking, or some other activity every day.
Monday (6/6): I had taken the day off, because I was supposed to take the clubbers from church on a field trip. However, the effects of a Tropical Storm in the area curtailed that. So I decided to get in a few miles on the treadmill at the house. I just did a 2 mile walk.
Tuesday (6/7): I did a 3 mile run on the treadmill at the gym at lunch. I averaged a 8:30 pace.
Wednesday (6/8): I got together with my MUSC Running Group at 5:30 AM for a 4.25 mile run. We averaged a 9:21 pace with walk breaks on each mile marker.
Thursday (6/9): Thursday was a busy day, and I only got a quarter mile recorded walk in; however, I had a church softball game, so that was enough to say I got my daily mile in.
Friday (6/10): 1 mile treadmill walk at the house, 15 minute pace.
Saturday (6/11): Luke and I met at 7 AM and ran the Summerville Saw Mill Branch Trail. We originally planned for a 9 mile run, but downgraded to a more realistic 6 miles because of the heat that was already upon us. We averaged a 9:33 pace at 72 degrees and 100% humidity. As you can tell from the selfie, there was a lot of sun!
Sunday (6/12): Because I needed steps, I decided to do a 3 mile run on the treadmill at the house after church & lunch. I averaged a 9:48 pace.
