One word to describe the running in Charleston, HOT! In fact we set records for the month of July for the hottest July on record!
Monday (7/25): No workout
Tuesday (7/26): At lunch I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym. Since I am doing the Santa Fe Thunder half in New Mexico in a few months, and it is a mostly all downhill half, I ran at a decline of -3 to start getting my legs adjusted to this difference. I ran at a 8:34 pace.
Wednesday (7/27): I did not get to run with my morning group as I had to travel to Florence for work. After all the travels I was not up for the evening run.
Thursday (7/28): No workout
Friday (7/29): No workout
Saturday (7/30): On Saturday, I met up with Dan, Dave, & Nick at the Ben Sawyer Publix at 6:30a to run 10 miles. We decided to run through the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant where there was a lot of tree cover to block the sun. It did a good job of that, but did not block the humidity, so it was still a tough run that ended up 9.5 miles at a 10:40 pace.
2016 Yearly Running Goal: 1000 Miles
Weekly Mileage: 14.00 Miles
2017 Total Miles: 501.00 Miles

Saturday was really brutal. Glad you guys got some miles in- I think I am going to run the Old Village soon so I can run in the shade!
It was a pretty nice route for shade!
Killing it my friend! Keep pounding out the miles!
Thanks my friend! You are doing awesome!
