Last long run training week. In the following two weekends I will be doing half marathons. Next Saturday, October 29th I am running the Race 13.1 Charleston here at home on Middleton Plantation. This worked out well, as this will be my 30th Half Marathon! This will be followed up by State #17 in West Virginia at the Marshall University Half Marathon on November 6th.
Here was this past week’s training.
Monday (10/24): On Monday evening, I went over to Summerville and ran the Spooky 3 Mile run with Fleet Feet Summerville. We were told to wear all our lights and glowing things, and that is just what we did. We ran at a 9:02 pace.
Tuesday (10/25): No workout; however, in the evening I went up to the church to do a prayer walk through the community for our upcoming Fall Festival on Sunday and got in two miles.
Wednesday (10/26): No workout – Stayed up too late watching the World Series
Thursday (10/27): No workout
Friday (10/28): No workout
Saturday (10/29): I ran in the Race 13.1 Charleston Half Marathon at Middleton Plantation here in Charleston, SC. I ran with Luke & Nick in the race. This was just a local race we wanted to try out since it was trail running. We treated it like a training run, considering most of us have half marathons next weekend as well. We ran a 2:13 for the race, but we kept it relaxing and fun for the day. It was also good to be out with other friends, Amy, Becky, & Kevin. I will put together a race recap on this one hopefully later in the week.
2016 Yearly Running Goal: 1000 Miles
Weekly Mileage: 18.35 Miles
2017 Total Miles: 692.00 Miles
