Well we made it back from Mississippi late on Sunday. I have to admit I was disappointed that we were not able to run the Mississippi Blues Half Marathon. However, the Charleston Marathon gave me a great discount since the Mississippi race was cancelled, so I signed up and got in my mileage. I will recap that race later in the week.
Well, on Friday we received an email from the Mississippi Blues Half Marathon Race Director on how they were going to make it right for cancelling the race. Now they did not have to do anything. The waiver clearly says races are a risk and cancellations for weather do not necessitate a refund. Well the went above and beyond on making it right. This was the letter I got.
