Today, the Rock ‘n’ Roll race series revealed the medals for the 2014 Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon. The race is on November 08, 2014. This will be my 8th state to complete in my 50 By 50 Challenge.
Here is the article on the medals. The full, half, and relay races will be on Saturday, November 8th, and the 5k & 1 Miler will be on Sunday, November 9th.
I have to say I am a little disappointed in the medal designs. Nothing on the medal says or shows images of the Historic Savannah.
As most of you know, next weekend (Jan. 11 & 12, 2014) I will be running the Goofy Challenge at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. I will be running the half marathon on Saturday, January 11th and the full marathon on Sunday, January 12th.
RunDisney has a way to track and get information on runners in the race. If you would like to track me and others in the races, go to this website and create an account.
It will then ask who you want to track, simply put the runner’s name in, then put in your cell phone number, and it will text you updates throughout the races.
BE WARNED – both races start at 5:30 AM so if you don’t want to be awakened prematurely, you may not want to do this. Otherwise, the tracking data will be up on my Facebook page as well.
My running partner is at Disneyland, CA this weekend to run the Disneyland Half Marathon. While at the expo, she found that they have revealed the medals designs for the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

Here is the Goofy medal you get for running the half marathon (Saturday) and the full marathon (Sunday), and the events I will be participating in. This is a total of 39.3 miles in 24 hours.
Finally, the new event, call the Dopey. You will get all the above medals, including this one, when you run the 5k on Thursday, 10k on Friday, half marathon on Saturday, and full marathon on Sunday for a grand total of 48.6 miles.
