So I just stumbled upon a website that many my know about, but it is a first for me. It is Taz Running Race Pace Tattoos. It has several features, but allows you to customize a race pace for either a selectable race, or you can customize a run through Google Maps to develop a pace chart. You can then print out the pace chart and attach it to your bib for free, or pay $4.99 and they will send you a tattoo of the pace chart that you can put on your arm for quick reference.
Here is how simple it is:
1) Select the race parameters. It has a lot of pre-configured races in their database, so it makes it even more simple.
2) I am doing the 2014 Nashville Country Music Half Marathon next month, so it was already available, and takes the elevation in to account when building the table.
3) You then click on settings to change your specifics, like estimated finish time, how you handle elevation changes, etc., and it calculated your pace chart. If you want to just print it and cut it out, you can do that for free. If you want the tattoo, just click on the “Order a Tattoo” link and they will send you a tattoo for $4.99.
Now I am not much for tattoos, so I have printed it out for now, but I may just have to order me this tattoo to give it a shot.
Have you ever used this before? Accurate? Durable? Thoughts?
