Krista and Megan from Runner’s Guide to Walt Disney World Magical Miles published an article on their site yesterday of the Top 10 Tips to Prepare for Race Day. Go over to their blog and check it out. I thought I would post the link here since many of us will be taking part in the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend soon.
Once again the great writers over at Runner’s Guide to Walt Disney World have chiseled another great piece that can benefit those running at Walt Disney World. This article discusses the topic of lodging on property. It helps you decide between Monorail Resorts and Epcot Resorts.
We have always stayed at the Epcot Resorts just because of the closeness to the Start & Finish Lines, especially on Marathon Weekend. We have either stayed at The Beach Club Villas or The Boardwalk Villas. It is nice after the race to just scan your MagicBand and walk through Epcot to refresh your legs and get back to the resort, as opposed to taking the buses and having to sit for 15-20 minutes. However, each area has its pros and cons. You just have to decide what works best for you.
Be sure to check out all the great articles over at the Runner’s Guide to Walt Disney World, as well as purchasing their awesome book they have written on the topic.
